Blue Dots

Welcome to the site of the Blue Dots initiative !

The goal of Blue Dots is to prepare a roadmap towards the detection and characterization of habitable exoplanets, recognizing that this ambitious goal will require several intermediate steps. The scope of the initiative is science oriented and not restricted to a particular detection technique, and some networking activity will be needed to integrate the perspectives from different communities. The roadmap was discussed at the Pathways Towards Habitable Planets conference held in Barcelona in September 2009. The report summarizing Blue Dots findings can be downloaded here.
