Blue Dots

Welcome to the site of the Blue Dots initiative !

Blue Dots is a community-based prospective forum on exoplanets. Some of the Blue Dots items :

  • The Pathways Towards Habitable Planets conference held in Barcelona in September 2009 ;
  • A 2010 report on a roadmap towards the detection and characterization of habitable exoplanets (download from here) ;

It is currently backed by more than 660 scientists world-wide, and you can join them by signing in here to support this paper. A list is maintained and updated online : here is an alphabetical list of supporting scientists , and there is a spreadsheet version containing more detailed information and individual comments. Remarks, comments and contributions about this process can be sent to exoplanet.whitepaper [at] .
